Unmissable Experiences in Bacău

Bacău is a city located in the eastern part of Romania, in the Moldavia region, and is the capital of the homonymous county. Bacău have over 130.000 inhabitants and it is an important economical center, known especially for the aeronautical, textile and food industry, as well as for logistics and trade. It has a rich history, with roots dating back to the Dacian period.

Among the main attractions are:

Bacău History Museum, which houses exhibits illustrating the evolution of the city and the region in different historical periods.
Precista Church of Bacău, an impressive religious construction dating back to the 16th century.
The Ascension Cathedral in Bacău, that is the third largest church in Romania, after the Redemption Cathedral in Bucharest and the Holy Trinity Cathedral in Baia Mare.
George and Agatha Bacovia Memorial House, became a memorial house in 1966 and was the home of George Bacovia (1881-1957), an important Romanian symbolist poet.
